ALL companies that carry out construction work (which is defined VERY broadly) in Norway must equip their employees with HSE(HMS) cards – also known as \u201cbuilding cards\u201d or \u201cID cards\u201d. Lack of HSE-cards can trigger a fee that is a minimum of NOK 10,000. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before HSE-cards can be acquired, the employer must have a Norwegian CVR number (org.no) and be VAT-registered (or applied for exemption). The worker must have a Norwegian birth number or active D-number. In addition the employment must be registered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
